Famed Broadcaster Farooq Nazki Passes Away

Srinagar: Farooq Nazki, one of the known broadcasters and recipient of Sahitya Academy award, has left for heavenly abode after suffering a major cardiac arrest. He was 83.

Nazki, as learnt, breathed his last at a hospital in Katra.

Nazki among other top assignments also served as Director Akashwani Srinagar and also media advisor of former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah.

Body of Nazki is on way to his native village at Kathi Darwaza, where he will be laid to rest accordingly.
