Kupwara: A daylong event commemorating the supreme sacrifices of martyrs of Karbala, was on Sunday held at Government Higher Secondary School in Tarathpora Ramhall Kupwara.
The event, held under the banner “Shohda-e-Karbala Conference”, saw the presence of many distinguished Islamic scholars and leaders.
Among the key speakers were Mufti Manzoor Raza Nayeemi, the Chairman of Jamat-e-Ahle Sunnat J&K, who delivered an insightful address on the significance of the sacrifices made during the Battle of Karbala.

Zubair Ahmad, a respected Islamic scholar, also shared his thoughts on the historical and spiritual lessons from Karbala.
Molana Naseer Raza Qadri, Khateeb Markazi Jamia Tarathpora, spoke about the importance of unity and resilience in the face of adversity.
The conference was well-attended by local residents and students, who were inspired by the speeches and discussions.
The event emphasized the enduring legacy of Karbala and its relevance in contemporary times.
