Srinagar: The Eid-ul-Fitr in India will be celebrated on Thursday as moon was not sighted on Tuesday evening, Jamia Masjid Chief Cleric announced.
“The moon for Shawwal was not sighted today on April 9, 2024, Tuesday,” said Shahi Imam and President Central Ruet Hilal Committee Jamia Masjid Delhi Sayed Ahmad Bukhari.
“Central Ruet Hilal Committee Jamia Masjid Delhi has taken the decision that Eid-ul-Fitr will be as such celebrated on April 11, 2024, Thursday,” reads the communique.
