ECI Issues Notification For First Phase Of LS Elections, J&K’s One Segment To Also See Polling in Initial Phase

Srinagar: Election Commission of India on Wednesday issued notification for the first phase of General elections, to go underway on April 19, across various States and Union territories.

The notification has indicated against the names of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Lakshadweep and Puducherry the timing of polling.
