DySP, 3 Troopers Injured in Ongoing Kathua Encounter

Kathua: A DySP is among four personnel injured in an ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in Juthana area of Kathua.

News agency JKNS quoted reliable sources as saying that security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of militants.

As the forces zeroed in on the suspected location, they came under heavy fire, leaving four personnel, including a DySP, injured.

“All the injured personnel have been shifted to a medical facility for treatment,” they said.

Meanwhile, intermittent firing is going on in the area even as additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot.
