Jammu: Drugs worth twelve lacs alongwith a pistol was recovered by Jammu Railway police in Jammu district on Sunday.
News agency GNS quoted an official as saying that a massive search operation was initiated by GRP Jammu to thwart any sabotage as well as to curb illegal activities.
During surprise checking of a Jammu-bound train, Railway Police (GRP) team detected and seized 10 Kgs Ganja and one Pistol, recovered without factory manufacture mark. Market price of Ganja recovered is upto ₹1.25 lacs per Kg, he said.
“In this connection, an FIR number 09/2024 under section 8/20 NDPS and 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Railway (GRP) Jammu and investigations initiated,” he added.
