A group of locals claimed to have intercepted a group of individuals while they were trying to load important office files and other material in vehicles alongside them. Developing suspicion, the locals questioned the individuals, who however, according to the locals, couldn’t give any satisfactory answer.

In the course of time, many other locals gathered at the site. Sensing the situation, the individuals fled the scene even as leaving behind a vehicle at the site.

The locals in the meantime informed DDC member concerned Adv Aamina Malik, who without wasting much time reached the site to assess the situation. Upon listening to the locals, Malik assured that she will take the matter with district administration and in the meantime urged Police to formally lodge a case in the matter.

“Even as the individuals remain unidentified as of now, but as claimed by locals it has been quite a while that people from the (ARTO) office are making attempts on their own to relocate the office, that is to say without consent or approval from any top office,” she said, adding, “in a desperate attempt, they tried to do so in late evening that too on a Sunday, which itself speaks of their ill intentions.”

“As I seek an immediate intervention from the District administration into the matter, I nevertheless will be personally taking the matter with Deputy Commissioner on priority and responsibility will be fixed whosoever is behind this sham act,” Malik said.

“I further ask the Police Station concerned to formally lodge a case into the matter for necessary proceedings,” added Malik.

Meanwhile the locals of Drugmulla have also demanded from district administration strict possible action against the persons who, according to them, tried to make such an attempt on the office.

“It is not only a single office, it has other offices as well, had there been any untoward incident, who would have been responsible for it,” the locals questioned.

The locals have in the meantime thanked DDC concerned for showing her genuine concern by visiting them at a short notice.
