Srinagar: A drug control team on Friday conducted surprise inspections of various wholesale drug establishments in Sopore market.
The team of Drug Control officers led by Assistant Drug Controller Baramulla/Kupwara Dr. Zaffer Ahmad Bhat conducted surprise inspections of around twenty wholesale stores. During the checking, the team thoroughly checked the stores vis-à-vis the maintenance of record for sale-and-purchase of different NRX categorised drugs. The team also checked the stores to see for adoption of computerized billing system, CCTV installation, cold storage arrangements and monitoring of CCTV footage.
Three stores found in violation of the set norms and procedures were served instant notices by the inspecting team.
As a pre-emptive measure, the team suggested the stakeholder to increase recording capacity of their surveillance devices beyond the set limit of one month.
