Srinagar: In a major feat and acknowledgment of the progress made during recent past, the north Kashmir’s Kupwara has been selected for Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in ‘Holistic Development of Districts’ category.
Informing the incumbent Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan about the nomination for the award, the Government of India’s DARPG wing, has, as per Alfaaz – The Words, solicited presence of the district officer to receive the award at the hands of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the Civil Services Day, to be held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on April 21, 2025.
Notably, the Government of India instituted the scheme in 2006 namely, “The Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration” – to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary and innovative work done by Districts/ Organizations of the Central and State Governments.
