District Admin Kupwara Orders Closure of Schools Upto 8th Standard

Srinagar: Amid incessant rains district administration Kupwara Tuesday ordered for closure of educational institutions upto 8th standard for the day across the district.

Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Ayushi Sudan in a communique has said, “All the Institutions both Private and Government upto 8th standard shall remain closed today on 16-04-2024 in view of the heavy rainfall followed by avalanche warning issued by JKDMA inorder to ensure the safety of students.”

Meanwhile, faculty members of respective schools have been asked to attend the schools to take stock of the situation and report damage, if any, caused to school assets.

Pertinently, Kashmir valley has been witnessing incessant rains from past few days.
