Srinagar: Amid unrelenting rains and snow over higher reaches, district administration Kupwara on Saturday ordered for closure of all educational institutions in several areas of the district as a precautionary measure.
In a notification, the district administration under Ayushi Sudan, as per Alfaaz – The Words, said that “In view of incessant rains/snowfall, district administration Kupwara has decided to close all the schools in Machil, Keran, Budnambal, Kumkadi, Jumagund and upper areas of Karnah till 17-03-2025.”
Various other district administrations including Ramban, Kishtwar, and Bandipora administration for Gurez, have taken similar measures for the larger safety of students and teaching staff, even as the weather expected to improve from tomorrow.
