Dept. of Education, University of Kashmir, Mourns Untimely Demise of Ph.D. Scholar Ms. Phayaola Zimik

Srinagar: The Department of Education, University of Kashmir, on Monday organized a condolence meeting to express deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Ms. Phayaola Zimik, a promising Ph.D. scholar of the department, hailing from Manipur.

The meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Prof. Aamina Parveen, Head, Department of Education.

Ms. Zimik was admitted to the Ph.D. programme in 2023 and was pursuing her doctoral research on cognitive flexibility among adolescents. In her short yet impactful academic journey, she made remarkable scholarly contributions.

Her recent research paper was published by Springer, and she also authored book chapters with IGI Global. She actively participated in several national and international seminars and conferences, reflecting her dedication and commitment to academic excellence.

The condolence meeting was attended by faculty members, research scholars, and students of the department. Speaking on the occasion, several teachers paid rich tributes to the departed scholar, remembering her as sincere, humble, hardworking, and deeply committed to her research.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Aamina Parveen expressed profound grief over the irreparable loss to the department and the academic fraternity. She extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and patience for them to endure this difficult time.

The meeting concluded with prayers for eternal peace to the departed soul and for courage and fortitude to her family, friends, and the academic community to bear this immense loss.
