Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday said it arrested another key accused in the Delhi bomb blast case that occurred last month.
In a statement, the agency said that one Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla, a resident of Baramulla, has become the eighth person arrested in connection with case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI. He was taken into custody by an NIA team in Delhi.
According to the agencyโs findings, Dr. Bilal was allegedly involved in the broader conspiracy behind the terrorist attack near Red Fort, which resulted in the death of 11 people and injuries to several others.
As per NIA investigations, Bilal had knowingly sheltered the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, by providing him logistical assistance. He is also accused of facilitating the destruction of evidence linked to the attack.
The NIA said its investigation into the conspiracy is ongoing, with the agency working in coordination with multiple central and state units to uncover all remaining links, the statement added. (GNS)
