New Delhi: All India Hindu Mahasabha National President, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, on Sunday said that the Moon should be declared as a “Hindu Rashtra” before other religions and countries lay their claim on it.
“I want India to declare the Moon as a Hindu Rashtra with a resolution in Parliament,” the Hindu seer said in a video message on X (formerly known as Twitter).
In the video, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for naming the landing area of Chandrayaan-3 “Shiv Shakti Point” and said it should be developed as the capital after establishing a Hindu nation on the Moon.
He wrote in the caption, “Moon should be declared as Hindu Sanatan Rashtra from Parliament, Shiv Shakti Point should be developed as its capital at the landing place of Chandrayaan 3, so that no terrorist can reach there with Jihadi mentality.”
The Hindu seer, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, has made headlines for his bizarre remarks in the past as well.
In 2020, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj and his outfit, All India Hindu Mahasabha, held a “gaumutra party” during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2018, the leader of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, said that flood victims in Kerala who have eaten beef shouldn’t receive help.
During the Prime Minister’s visit to Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) headquarters on Saturday, he said that the spot where Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander landed will be known as ‘Shiv Shakti’.
In a significant achievement for Isro, Chandrayaan-3 touched down near the Moon’s south pole at 6.04 pm on August 23, making India the first country to land on this region.
