Lucknow: The Mumbai Police received a threat message on Saturday evening which said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would be killed like former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique if he doesn’t resign within 10 days, reports India Today.

The Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell received the message on Saturday evening from an unknown number. Further investigation is on to find out who sent the message, police said. An FIR is yet to be registered in this case.

The Chief Minister’s security has been beefed up following the message.

Baba Siddique was shot dead by three men outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office on October 12.

The threat comes just days after a man was arrested on Wednesday (October 30) for issuing a death threat to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore. A report by news agency PTI stated that the man was identified as Azam Mohammed Mustafa from Mumbai’s Bandra East.

Similarly, a 20-year-old man was arrested in Noida on Tuesday (October 29) for issuing threats to Salman Khan and Baba Siddique’s son, Bandra East NCP MLA Zeeshan Siddique. The accused, identified as Mohammad Tayyab, also demanded money from Zeeshan Siddique and Salman Khan.
