13 Girl Students Felicitated for Completing Aalima Course, 2 Felicitated for Memorisation of Holy Quran
Kupwara: A daylong annual congregational programme was held in Dar-ul-Uloom Faizul Kabeer Kralgund Qaziabad on Friday.
The daylong programme was attended by Hazrat Mufti Abdul Rahim Alhasani (DB.) Mufti Waseem Ahmad, Mufti Altaf Hussain Mir, Mufti Tawseef Ahmad, Mufti Shameem Ahmad besides several other prominent Islamic scholars.
On the eve, 13 girl students were felicitated for completing the Aalimah course and 2 were felicitated for completing ‘Hifz’ (memorization) of the Holy Quran.
The attending scholars in their speeches unequivocally highlighted the importance and significance of Quranic education especially for female gender.
The event was attended by family members of the girls, and boys who on the behalf of those girls completing the ‘Hifz course’ were don with turbans – as an act of symbolism by the scholars present on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that there are 130 girls and 25 boy students enrolled in Darul-Uloom Faizul Kabeer Kralgund who are receiving Quranic education.
Large number of participants including women, children took part in the daylong annual congregation to encourage the girl and boy students completing the course.
