Kupwara: A medical team of Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara successfully managed a complex emergency case involving a pregnant woman with a large ovarian cyst. The size of the cyst spanning 25×25×20 cm, was causing serious danger to both mother and her child. However, a team of expert doctors and staff handled the case successfully with utmost diligence and coordination.
The particular surgery, which included a C-section (LSCS), was performed on Wednesday morning, and thanks to the prompt and professional care, both the mother and the baby are doing well and are currently in a stable condition.
The surgery was conducted by Dr. Jamshed, Obstetrician with active assistance from Dr. Farooq (Anaesthesia Consultant) and Dr. Zaka (Anaesthetist).
Medical Superintendent SDH Kupwara Dr Mir Shafi, has hailed the coordinated efforts of the team and said that both the mother and baby are doing well.
“The entire medical team of SDH Kupwara, including technicians and support staff, achieved excellent results with their hard work,” MS said.
The commitment and efforts of the doctor team to protect the patient and her child is a testament to the high quality medical care provided at SDH Kupwara.
