Srinagar: Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande is likely to visit Jammu tomorrow in the backdrop of a militant attack leaving at least four army men slain in Surankote area of Poonch district.
Srinagar-based news agency Kashmir Scroll quoted an unnamed top official as saying that General Manoj Pande will be accompanied by a high-level team to oversee the situation arisen out of a dastardly militant attack along DKG-Buffliaz road, leaving at least four army personnel slain while several others are under treatment, on Thursday last.
“The visit of the army chief holds much significance and the security apparatus along the border may see an overall overhaul for coming times”, the official said further.
