Clergy in Lolab Unequivocally Denounces Attack on Tourists in Pahalgam

Lolab: Clerics across Lolab valley on Friday expressed their strong resentment to denounce the attack on tourists in Pahalgam earlier this week, which left at least twenty-six dead and many others injured.

The clerics during their Friday sermons invoked Quranic teachings and saying of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) – Ahadith – to emphasize that killing of any innocent individual tantamounts to killing of an entire humanity.

The clerics and scholars also expressed their solidarity and sympathies with the families of the victims, in this hour of grief and sorrow.

Voicing disapproval over harassment faced by students and traders outside Kashmir, the clerics urged authorities for intervention to ensure their safety and security.

The scholars on the eve also appealed to the general public to banish any support to all forms of terrorism, highlighting that Islam does not support or promote any activity that brings harm to anyone. They also appealed to the people to ensure that their children don’t fall into the trap of anti-national elements.
