Children ‘Missing’ from Srinagar Orphanage Found: Officials

Srinagar: In a fresh twist, the officials earlier saying that at least eighteen children had gone ‘missing’ from an orphanage in Srinagar outskirts have now came on record that the children have been recovered from a house near to the orphanage.

Reports quoting officials suggested that at least eighteen children have been found missing from a Orphanage by the name ‘Al-Miskeen Trust’ at Nundresh Colony, Bemina Srinagar.

The SDM concerned following the development instantly closed the orphanage while directing the office bearers to produce the allegedly missing children at an earliest.

However just hours into the report, officials have come on record saying that the children have been found by Police after investigation.

“It has come to our knowledge that the children had shifted from one house to another and all of them are safe”, the officials said.

Notably, the official statement about the alleged missing of the children had plunged the public into panic.
