BMS Saiwan Wins Under 14 Inter Zone Girls Volleyball Tournament

Lolab [Kupwara]: In a bid to enhance the sports talent among the girls, Zonal Physical Education Officer Sogam on Wednesday organised Inter Zone Volleyball Tournament for U-14 Girls.

The tournament was participated, mostly by middle schools of Zone Sogam in which the participating teams put all the efforts to lift the trophy, but, it was Boys Middle School Saiwan, which emerged as victorious to clinch the title.

BMS Saiwan under the leadership of Sadaf Ayaz alongside her teammates including Tabish Reyaz, Faiza Shabir, Amara Maqsood, Toiba Maqsood and Urfat Masood showcased their marvellous skills to defeat BMS Sogam, GMS Darpora and BMS Tangcheck respectively to emerge as Champions.

Four girls from BMS Saiwan got selected for district level competition including Sadaf Ayaz, Tabish Reyaz, Amara Maqsood and Toiba Maqsood.

Bilal Masoodi ZP JKTF who was the escort teacher, as the Physical Education teacher of BMS Saiwan Aijaz Ahmad Tantray expressing his elation over the triumph said that, “It was an extraordinary effort put by my girls today, they made me and my institution proud.”

“It is for the first time that BMS Saiwan has won the Zonal level title”, he said adding “This will definitely boost moral of players and the achievement remembered for times to come.”

Several teaching communities have extended their heartiest greetings to the students, especially to Bilal Masoodi, for making all possible efforts to see a better and prosperous future of the students.
