Handwara: Ayush Health & Wellness Centre Chontipora organised a daylong mega screening drive and free medical camp for musculoskeletal and respiratory diseases at village Shirhama in Qalamabad in Handwara under ‘Ayushman Bhava Programme’.
The camp was organised under the directions of Director Ayush UT of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Mohan Singh and on the instructions of District Ayush Officer Kupwara Dr. Raja Amjad Ali Khan. During the camp free screening tests for Diabetes and Anaemia besides Screening for hypertension were conducted.
The camp was organised keeping in view rise in lifestyle disorders, Hypertension, Diabetes and respiratory ailments in Kashmir especially during the winter season.
People of different age groups attended to the camp to avail free facilities provided by the Department of Ayush under the Ayushman Bhava Campaign to provide affordable and accessible health care services to all.
A number of new Hypertension and diabetic cases were documented during the camp and free medicines were distributed among the patients.
