Army Intercepts Intruder Group Along LoC in North Kashmir, Exchange of Fire Underway

Srinagar: Army on Thursday engaged a group of intruders in a gunfight after they made an attempt to sneak into this side from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district officials said.

News agency Kashmir Scroll reported reliable sources as saying that an infiltration attempt was foiled in Tangdhar sector when army troops guarding the LoC picked up movement of intruders and challenged them in the early hours today.

They said that two intruders are likely gunned down while the operation is still underway in the area.
