APS Wavoora Lolab Inter-school Cricket Tournament Culminates, Chairman Hails School Teachers for Successful Conduct of Event

Lolab: An inter-school Cricket tournament organised by Ali Public School Wavoora Lolab ended on a high note here on Monday.

The grand finale of the tournament held at APS Main Campus Naseem Bagh saw fifth standard defending a low score to emerge out as Champions. With Mohammad Salim being declared as Man of the Match, the Man of the Series award was given to Abrar Ahmed.

Other top performers of the tournament included; Asrar Mohmood as Best Batter/Batsman, Adnan Ahmad as Best Bowler.
Emerging Player award was accorded to Omais Zahoor and Best Catcher to Asrar Mohmood.

“On November 11, 2024, we had the honor of witnessing the thrilling finale of our school’s inter-school cricket match, and I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this event possible,” reads a statement issued by Chairman APS Shah Mahmood ul Hassan.

“First and foremost, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Mr. Yawer Bashir. After seven long years, our school had the incredible opportunity to participate in an inter-school cricket match, and this would not have been possible without his vision, dedication, and hard work. Mr. Yawer Bashir, you’ve rekindled the spirit of cricket in our school, and for that, we are truly grateful.”

“I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to our respected principal. Your continuous encouragement and unwavering support has inspired us to reach new heights. At every step of the way, you’ve motivated us to do our best, both on and off the field. You celebrated the victories with us and also helped us grow through the challenges, showing that both success and setbacks teach valuable lessons,” the statement reads.

“A big thank you goes to all of our teachers, whose hard work, guidance, and belief in us played a crucial role in the success of this event. You’ve shown us that with discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, we can achieve anything, both in academics and in life,” the statement reads.

“I would also like to express my gratitude to the Academic Supervisor and the Event Coordinator for their outstanding efforts in organizing and ensuring the smooth execution of this event. Your behind-the-scenes work made everything possible, and we appreciate all your hard work.”
