Kupwara: In a significant development, Anjum Altaf Qureshi has been elected as the new president of the Private Schools Association Kupwara. The decision was made during a key meeting held on Tuesday, which brought together school leaders from across the district.

The meeting, convened under the banner of the Private Schools Association Kupwara, witnessed participation from elected zonal presidents representing all 14 zones of the district.

Besides the heads of all zones, the other senior and reputed members, including the whole district body, were part of it.

All enjoyed their participation and heard each other patiently.

With regard to the school and its academics, it was decided to make more efforts for its bright and result-oriented future.

A healthy discussion took place regarding the election, which was the basic and fundamental issue of the meeting.

Keeping in view the political and social scenario and the directions/advice of the state committee, it was decided that since the term of the previous body has been completed, and to revive the system, there must be an election through the zonal presidents to form a new body.

So, after the formal election and recommendations of the executive council, the names to lead the Association at the district level for the next two years have been declared as: Anjum Altaf Qureshi (President), Mustafa Bashir Bhat (Vice President), Mohammad Ashraf Baba (Secretary), and Zahoor Ahmad (Incharge Finance).

Further expansion of the council is the authority of the president to decide.
