Amid Much Anticipation Light Snowfall Underway in Pir Ki Gali

Srinagar: Amid growing anticipation and anguish over largely prevalent dry weather, light snowfall has been reported from Pir Ki Gali from this evening.

As learnt, it started snowing along the mountain pass around this evening, even as the intensity of the fall is very less.

The snowfall has come at a time when the forecasting agencies have predicted widespread precipitation in higher and low-lying areas across Jammu and Kashmir.

Notably, the harshest chill period known in local parlance as ‘Chillai Kalaan’, which is left with almost a week now, has gone largely dry with bare minimum precipitation even in the higher reaches.
