Srinagar: The All Jammu and Kashmir +2 Lecturers Forum has formally endorsed the newly constituted district body of Kupwara, expressing confidence in the leadership and extending full support on behalf of its president Muhammad Younis Gurezi and the central executive members.
In a statement, the Forum announced the approval of Syed Zahoor Ul Haq as District President, with Ishfaq Ahmad Lone as Vice President, Javid Ahmad Kumar as Organiser, Farooq Ahmad Shah as General Secretary, Tariq Ahmad Mir as Convener and Spokesperson, Javid Ahmad Pir as Co-organiser, and Nazir Ahmad Baba as Press Secretary.
The Forum also named Ali Mohammad Mir, Farooq Ahmad War, Ghulam Rasool Mir, and Zahoor Ahmad Hamdani as members of the central committee, who will provide guidance and coordination at the organisational level.
The leadership said the newly framed district body represents a balanced and committed team capable of effectively highlighting issues faced by +2 lecturers in Kupwara. It expressed hope that the body would work in close coordination with the central leadership to address service related concerns, academic challenges, and professional welfare of lecturers.
The All J&K +2 Plus Two Lecturers Forum extended best wishes to the new office bearers for a productive and successful tenure. It said the Forum remains committed to strengthening institutional dialogue with the authorities and ensuring that the concerns of the teaching fraternity are addressed in a timely and constructive manner.
Meanwhile, the district president of the All J&K Lecturers Forum, along with a delegation led by Muhammad Younis Gurezi, met the Director School Education Kashmir to raise issues concerning the teaching fraternity. The delegation apprised the Director of long pending concerns affecting lecturers.
The Director School Education Kashmir gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the issues raised would be examined and addressed in a time bound manner.
