Airtel Launches Cartoon Network Classics on Digital TV Platform

Srinagar: Bharti Airtel has expanded its entertainment offerings with the launch of Airtel Cartoon Network Classics on its Digital TV platform. The channel has been introduced in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery.

The new service features a curated collection of iconic animated shows from Cartoon Network. It aims to serve as a dedicated destination for family friendly and nostalgia driven content.

The programming includes popular titles such as Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo, Johnny Bravo, and other classic series. The channel targets viewers who grew up watching these shows while also offering younger audiences access to well known animated stories from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Pushpinder Singh Gujral, DTH Business Head at Airtel, said the launch strengthens the companyโ€™s content portfolio. He said the channel offers customers an opportunity to reconnect with characters and stories that continue to appeal across generations. He added that the channel will be available to all DTH and IPTV users.

Airtel Cartoon Network Classics is priced at Rs 59 per month. It is available on Channel 445 in English and Hindi. The channel is ad free and can be accessed on connected set top boxes including Xstream and IPTV, as well as HD and SD non connected boxes, without additional equipment.

Arjun Nohwar, Managing Director South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery, said the channel reflects the enduring appeal of Cartoon Network content. He said the collaboration with Airtel will help keep these programmes accessible to current audiences while preserving their original format.

Airtel said subscribers can activate the channel through their set top box, a missed call, or the Airtel Thanks app. The company said the process has been designed for quick activation.
