AIP Senior Leader Firdous Baba Welcomes Indo-Pak Truce Deal

Srinagar: Awami Itihaad Party senior leader and spokesperson Firdous Baba has welcomed the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, terming the truce deal a historic step towards peace and prosperity in the region.

“While Pahalgam massacre had already shattered nation and humanity, the growing escalation between India and Pakistan had made situation worrisome with loss of more precious lives,” Baba said in a media statement.

Lauding the decision of central government to reach about a truce deal, Baba said that he expects that normalcy returns to Jammu and Kashmir and that apt steps are taken to put an end to terrorism.

Asserting that Awami Itihaad Party has always advocated for dialogue for peace and prosperity, Baba prayed that may the future ahead brings joy, peace, prosperity, development and progress for Jammu and Kashmir and world over.
