Srinagar: The proposed visit of incumbent Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow, January 9, 2024, has been reportedly cancelled due to ‘inclement weather conditions’.
The Union Home Minister was due to attend a Viksit Sankalp Yatra programme in Jammu during which Shah would have inaugurated projects worth ₹1379 Cr., besides reviewing the security situation and development works in J&K.
The new date and schedule for Shah’s visit is expected to be announced soon.
Pertinent to mention here that earlier the visit of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and Bharatiya Janata Party Chief JP Nadda were also cancelled due to ‘inclement weather conditions’ in Jammu and Kashmir.
