Administrative Authorities Conduct Market Inspection in Parts of Lolab Sub Division

Lolab: In an effort to combat black-marketing and ensure fair trade, the administrative of Lolab sub-division on Wednesday carried out an extensive market inspection in different areas of Lolab area.

The inspection by a team led by Tehsildar Sogam/Sogam alongside officials of Food Department and Police, was carried out on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan and SDM Lolab.

The team conducted detailed checks across various markets and streets in Diver, Thundoosa, Lalpora and other adjacent markets, to ensure compliance with fair trade practices.

During the inspection, the team reviewed essential commodities being sold, verified rate lists, and checked the accuracy of weighing scales.

Shopkeepers were reminded to strictly adhere to government-prescribed rates for all products.

This initiative is aimed at protecting consumers from exploitation and ensuring that businesses operate within the legal framework.
