ADC Handwara Suspends 2 Revenue Department Officials for Alleged Complicity in Allowing Illegal Constructions on State Land; Time-bound Enquiry Ordered

Handwara: Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara Aziz Ahmad Rather has put under suspension two revenue department officials over alleged complicity in allowing illegal constructions on State Land in Mawer area.

“…It has come to the notice of this office that field officials of Revenue Department viz. Lumberdar and Chowkidar of village Mawer and Sanzipora Kutlari have failed to discharge their legitimate duties and have been found complicit in allowing illegal constructions on State Land situated at village Sanzipora Kutlari and Mawer,” reads an order, a copy of which lies with Alfaaz – The Words.

“The Lumberdar and Chowkidar concerned have neglected their responsibility and allowed the said illegal construction to come up without taking any action.”

“Pending enquiry into the matter, Lumberdar of Mawer Bala and Kutlari and Chowkidar Halqa Sanzipora are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect till further orders,” reads the order.

“The Tehsildar Qalamabad shall conduct an enquiry in the instant matter and submit a detailed report to this office within 15 days positively,” the order further reads.
