‘Act – For A Better Tomorrow’ Performs Two Stage Plays on R-Day Eve

Srinagar: ‘Act – For A Better Tomorrow’ (formerly known as Actors’ Creative Theatre) performed two stage plays ‘Jheel Bula Rahi Hai’ in Urdu, written by Ali Mohammad Lone, and ‘Pagla Ghoda’ in Hindi, written by Badal Sarkar, on eve of Republic Day. Both the plays are directed by Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan.

The plays were performed at the Open Air Theatre, in NGO’S Enclave, Chhatabal Military Garrison, Bemina Qamarwari Road,  Srinagar.

The performances attracted a good number of audience, mostly the youth, who appreciated the performances of the actors.

The main artists performing the plays were Mushtaaque Ali & Zubair Farooq (in Jheel Bula Rahi hai) and Shahid Mushtaq, Rabiya Shafeeq, Mutayib Nabi, Barkat Ali & Aaqib Haleem (in Pagla Ghoda).

The group has in the meantime hinted at a repeat performance of the play ‘Jheel Bula Rahi Hai’ at Jammu in the coming few weeks.
