6 Students, Memorizing Holy Quran, Felicitated As Dar-ul-Uloom Baba Nazuk Dever Marks Annual Congregation

Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Masoodi Kashmiri, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi Among Top Islamic Clerics Attend Daylong Event

Kupwara: Dar-ul-Uloom Baba Nazuk Dever Lolab, a prominent islamic institute, marked its annual congregation here on Saturday.

The daylong programme was attended by a host of prominent Islamic scholars and clerics including Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Masoodi Kashmiri (Grandson of world-renowned Islamic scholar Allama Anwar Shah Kashmiri), Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, Mufti Ghulam Mohiuddin, Moulana Syed Mohammad Iqbal Andrabi.

The event witnessed recognition of six boy students for successfully completing the memorization of the Holy Quran (‘Hifz’). As a symbolic gesture, the students were donned turbans (Dastarbandhi) by the attending scholars.

The attending scholars in their speeches highlighted the importance and significance of Quranic education for both genders and emphasized the youth to stay away from the drugs and other evils.

Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Masoodi Kashmiri emphasized the purity and clarity of Islam, highlighting that the religion highly condones any actions harming the society in any way. He reflected the belief that true Islamic teachings promote peace, morality and the well-being of the community.

He urged the parents to play an active role in guiding and parenting their children in a responsible and positive manner.

“Keep a keen vigil on your children as we are witnessing our youth getting involved in different kinds of bad activities. We need to educate and counsel them to shape their future for a better tomorrow”, Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Kashmiri further said.

“Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is our role model and will remain so always and forever. We must do things as per his virtuous sayings”, revered scholar Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi said.

The event was attended by the families of the boys, along with other relatives and well-wishers. A large number of participants, including men and children, gathered for the annual congregation to celebrate and encourage the students for achieving the feat of memorization of Holy Quran.
