Handwara: Tehsildar Kralgund has ordered an inquiry into the unauthorized absence of six employees from the Community Health Centre (CHC) Kralgund in Handwara. The action followed a surprise visit by the official’s visit to the facility on Saturday at 3:40 PM.
During the inspection, it was found that six staff members, including Sub Pharmacist Abdul Ahmad Sheikh, Physiotherapist Tariq Ahmad, BHW Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, Junior Nurse Zeenat Khursheed, OT Technician Jamsheed Lone, FMPHW Zubaida Hassan and MTS Ghulam Ahmad Mir, were not present at their assigned duty stations, raising concerns about the functioning of the healthcare center. Taking serious note of the matter, Tehsildar Kralgund directed an immediate investigation to identify the reasons for their absence and ensure accountability.
The inquiry aims to uphold discipline and professionalism within the health center, ensuring that essential healthcare services remain uninterrupted. Further actions will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
This incident has highlighted the need for stricter monitoring and adherence to duty schedules, particularly in healthcare institutions where public welfare is at stake.
