6 Carts of Vegetable Sellers Gutted in Fire Mishap in Handwara Market

Handwara: At least six carts of vegetable sellers were gutted in a blaze erupting on Thursday early morning at Handwara market.

The fire reportedly broke out from a cart and soon after spread to other adjacent carts.

Despite timely efforts by the Fire and Emergency Department, Handwara Police and locals, the fire however gutted at least six carts before the raging flames could be contained.

Meanwhile, the Traders Federation Handwara and Civil Society have urged people to come forward and extend their help to compensate the affected persons for the losses incurred in the incident.
