Srinagar: A 30-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Drugmulla area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official told Alfaaz – The Words, that the body of a person was found lying inside a bathroom in compound of Markazi Jamia Masjid Faqirpora Drugmulla, this afternoon. Soon after, several police teams reached the spot, for an on the ground assessment of the incident site.
The body was later lifted from the site to a nearby hospital for necessary formalities.
Confirming it, a police official identified the deceased as one Mujeeb ur Rehman Sofi, son of Abdul Rehman Sofi, a resident of Handwara.
“We have taken the body for necessary medico-legal formalities, and taken cognisance for further investigations,” said the official.
It has been in the meantime learnt that the person had gone missing since yesterday.
