Renowned Naat Khawan Qari Ehsan Mohsin, Revered Islamic Scholar Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi Among Other Prominent Islamic Scholars Attend Day-long Convocation

Kupwara: Madrasa Hidayat-Ul-Banaat, located in Bumhama Kupwara, on Sunday held its annual convocation, drawing a significant gathering of distinguished Islamic scholars, religious personalities and eminent citizens from across the district and beyond.
The day-long event was graced by eminent scholars, including renowned Naat Khawaan Qari Ehsan Mohsin, revered Islamic scholar Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, Mufti Ghulam Mohi Uddin Raheemi, Mufti Ghulam Hassan Kirmani, and Mufti Mohammad Sultan Qasmi, alongside with other prominent clerics from across the Kupwara district.
Throughout the convocation, speakers underscored the vital importance of nurturing a strong spiritual connection with Almighty Allah and urged the Muslim Ummah to continuously seek His forgiveness, mercy and guidance. The atmosphere was imbued with deep spirituality, marked by insightful discourses, heartfelt supplications and a renewed commitment to Islamic values and education.
Renowned for his soul-stirring recitations and soulful voice, Qari Ehsan Mohsin enthralled the audience with a series of moving Naats and Manqabat, leaving a lasting spiritual impact on the gathering.
Addressing the audience, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi reflected on the core teachings of Islam, placing special emphasis on the life and legacy of revered Sufi saint Hazrat Bulbul Shah (RA), whose peaceful message of unity and compassion was instrumental in the spread of Islam in Kashmir.
He also spoke at length about the contributions of Ameer-e-Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), the 14th-century Sufi scholar and missionary, whose teachings profoundly shaped the cultural and spiritual landscape of the valley. He highlighted Mir Syed Ali Hamdani’s enduring legacy of faith, knowledge and reform, which continues to inspire generations.
A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of 28 girl students who completed the memorization of the Holy Quran. In a touching and symbolic gesture, their fathers were honored with traditional turbans—an expression of pride, gratitude and recognition of their crucial support in their daughters’ spiritual achievements.
The convocation attracted a large audience, with attendees from various parts of Kupwara participating enthusiastically in the spiritually enriching event.
