New Delhi: England star player Ben Stokes has narrated a scary incident he experienced in India recently while travelling in an auto-rickshaw late at night.
Stokes took to his Instagram, where he shared a clip from an interview revealing that he and Liam Livingstone along with their strength and conditioning coach, Andy Mitchell were travelling late at night in an auto, which is when they were narrowly escaped being hit by a car at a roundabout.
“So, me and Liam Livingstone are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Andy Mitchell, who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk’s aren’t very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk. We were just running up to the roundabout and the driver does not slow down and gets so close to the car,” stated Stokes. Here is the video of the incident.
The place appears to be a roundabout in Delhi. Nonetheless, England are having a disastrous run at this World Cup. Out of the four matches, the defending champions have won just one game.
Talking about Ben Stokes, he missed the first three matches due to a hip niggle and has failed to perform in his comeback match against South Africa.
