2 Militants Killed in Kulgam Gunfight, Operation Continues

Srinagar: Two militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Akhal forest area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

As per reports, the encounter took off on Friday evening after a joint team of security forces established contact with hiding militants following a cordon and search operation.

In the gunfight, two militants have been killed thus far, identity of one killed earlier has been ascertained as Haris Nazir Dar from Rajpora Pulwama.

The operation continued when this report was filed.
