Kupwara: A young and dynamic girl from Lolab has achieved an impressive milestone by making her debut in the world of literature. She has published her first book, titled “Kashmir: The Chronicle of Time”.
Shabnam Manzoor, a 19-year-old from Gundimancher, Lolab, completed her schooling at Government Higher Secondary School, Sogam, from where she moved to Srinagar for further studies and is currently pursuing her graduation at Amar Singh College, Srinagar. She is deeply passionate about serving the nation through public service and is diligently preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination to fulfill this ambition.
“I’ve been passionate about writing since my childhood, and it has always been my dream to publish a book. I’m thrilled that this dream has finally come true,” she shared, adding, “It took me one & half year to accomplish this milestone.”
During her school years, Shabnam was an active participant in volleyball, a sport she thoroughly enjoyed. However, her true passion lies in writing. “Over the past year, I’ve dedicated myself to working on “Kashmir: The Chronicle of Time”, a book that explores the rich history, culture, and stories of my homeland,” she explained.
The book spans 73 pages, and describes it as both an emotional and intellectual journey. “I wanted to capture the essence of Kashmir, shedding light on stories often overlooked and highlighting the culture that makes our land so rich and resilient,” she added.
With her debut book, Shabnam Manzoor seeks to contribute to ongoing literary and historical discussions surrounding Kashmir, inviting readers to experience its past and present through her pages.
She was recently felicitated with a “Certificate of Publication” by the Free Minds Club in recognition of her successful contribution to literature and the publication of her work in Jammu.
She said that the readers can read her book on Amazon and can share feedback on laybmdwr634@gmail.com.
