18 Brides Receive Marriage Kits as Noor Ul Ain Welfare Foundation Holds Assistance Program in Srinagar

Srinagar: In a touching display of community solidarity and social responsibility, the Noor Ul Ain Welfare Foundation organized a Marriage Assistance Program at Ali Abad near TK College in Umarabad, Srinagar. The initiative, aimed at supporting economically vulnerable families, saw 18 brides receive comprehensive marriage kits to help ease the financial burdens of starting a new chapter in life.

Each kit was thoughtfully assembled to include essential household and bridal items, from cookware and bedding to clothing and other necessities, designed to help newlyweds begin their journey with dignity and a sense of security.

The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests from various walks of life. Chief Guest Dr. Nuzhat Jaan led the list of attendees, joined by Dr. Hardeep Singh, noted social activist Manpreet Singh, Afshana Khan (Chairperson, Shahi Baghdad Trust Srinagar), Shabir Ahmad (Chairman, Alnoor Trust Bemina Srinagar), and renowned religious scholar Moulana Qari Tariq Ahmad Shah Kawoosa. The dignitaries commended the foundation’s efforts and urged more such initiatives to uplift marginalized communities.

The ceremony also included a segment of recognition and appreciation. Contributors and community leaders were honored with Certificates of Appreciation for their role in making the event successful.

Speaking at the conclusion of the program, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Chairman of the Noor Ul Ain Welfare Foundation, expressed heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, donors, and supporters. “We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming community support. The smiles we’ve seen today make all the hard work worth it,” Mir said. “We’re already planning our next Marriage Assistance Program for September 2025, and hope to reach even more families.”
